Rolls-Royce and the first LNG powered tug
Above is a quick video from Rolls-Royce talking about their participation in powering the world’s first LNG powered tug. Tugs are great candidates for using LNG as they generally operate in a confined geographic area and return home to “base” at night. Their limited range reduces the tank sizes needed and returning to a common facility at night eases the logistics of bunkering.
